AI and L&D Articles

This is already happening. Employers are asking candidates ‘What AI skills do you possess?

What would you answer?

Let me help you….

·        Do you know how to prompt AI clearly so you get accurate, useful results?
·        Do you know which AI tools fit your work (writing, data, scheduling, image creation)?
·        Do you know what the built-in AI features are in tools you may use, like Microsoft Copilot or Google Workspace?
·      Do you know how to organise your work to incorporate AI tools to make it more productive and efficient?

🔹 Critical Thinking

·        Are you an expert enough in your role to review AI outputs for accuracy, make sure AI is not making things up?
·        Are you aware of bias and how to question results that seem unfair or incomplete?
·        Do you understand enough about data and insights to interpret them responsibly?

🔹 Responsibility, Security & Ethics
·        Do you know about data privacy and security risks when using AI?
·        Are you transparent when AI contributes to your work?

🔹 Human-Centric Skills
·        Can you adapt and be open to new AI tools?
·        Can you communicate clearly both with AI and with your colleagues?
·        Can you bring creativity and problem-solving to the table (things AI can’t replace)?

The bottom line: You don’t need to know how to code AI, but you do need to know how to use it effectively, responsibly, and creatively.

👉 For most of us, AI isn’t about replacing our jobs. It’s about upgrading our skills to stay relevant, productive, and ethical in a changing workplace.
